Tony articled with a national accounting firm and has recently celebrated 30 years in public accounting as Howatt Group Chartered Professional Accountants. He also previously spent two years as a manager in commercial banking. At Howatt Group Tony has experience in assisting clients in a wide variety of areas including assurance engagements ( Audit, Review, Notice to Reader), strategic business planning, mergers, acquisitions and divestures, corporate reorganizations, corporate and personal tax planning. Over these years he has established many long term relationships with clients.
Andrew Howatt
CPA, CA | Partner
Andrew has been with the Howatt Group since 2011 after previously working for a National Accounting firm in Calgary, AB. He graduated from StFX in 2009 with an accounting major and subsequently passed the CA Uniform Final exam in 2013 where he placed on the David Hope Honour Roll (for achievements in the CA program). He has recently completed the Chartered Professional Accounting In-Depth Tax program.
During his time in practice Andrew has gained experience in corporate and personal taxation, various levels of assurance and many other owner/manager client services.
Crystal Joyce
CPA, CA | Manager
Crystal has many years in public accounting formerly with national and local firms in Halifax. She has successfully developed long term relationships with a client base of owner-managed businesses in a variety of industries including: construction, restaurants and professional services (medical, dental, legal and optometry).
Lara Parsons
CPA, CA | Manager
Lara started her CPA career in Alberta before returning home to Chester, Nova Scotia to continue her career. Upon returning to Nova Scotia Lara gained industry experience in film, health care and various non – profit sectors. Most recently Lara has worked for several years as a Manager with another CPA firm. Lara’s experience in public accounting includes working with clients in many industries ranging from start up entrepreneurs to established businesses, providing accounting and tax planning advice to individuals, corporations and estates.
Lara believes in giving back to her community and is actively involved as a board member on several boards.
Ashley Angevine
Manager
Ashley has been with Howatt Group since 2010. She has over 10 years of experience providing accounting and tax services to clients in several industries including retail, hospitality, and various professionals businesses.
Andrea Delaronde
Office Manager
Andrea is the Office Manager at Howatt Group. Her responsibilities cover a range of administrative related tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient running of all aspects of the day-to-day business.
